Sharjah Public Library

The Sharjah Library was established to develop a level of interest in education and knowledge among the society. It was also created to uphold the cultural system by providing information streams and unique services, to augment awareness of world events among the local population.

Sharjah Library boasts a huge collection of information sources: books, references, letters, scientific journals, audio-visual aids  that benefit researchers. Library members can also access electronic data through an online portal to lend books.

Kalba Public Library

Although not connected geographically, Kalba is a city in the Emirate of Sharjah. It is an exclave of Sharjah lying on the Gulf of Oman coast north of Oman. Khor Kalba (Kalba Creek), an important nature reserve and mangrove swamp, is located south of the town by the Omani border.

Opened on 1989 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi— Ruler of Sharjah, Kalba Public Library overlooks the Kalba Corniche, and serves a population of 37,545 in Kalba only and more in surrounding regions.

Khor Fakkan Public Library

Centered on Khor Fakkan Bay and home to the curved Khor Fakkan Beach and a deep-sea port, Khor Fakkan is a city in the Emirate of Sharjah. An exclave geographically surrounded by the Emirate of Fujairah, facing the Gulf of Oman. Tourism is well developed thanks to sandy beaches and the coral reefs that attract many divers.

Opened on 1989 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi— Ruler of Sharjah, Khor Fakkan Public Library serves a population of 39,515 in Khor Fakkan only and more in surrounding regions.

Dibba Al Hisn Public Library

Dibba Al Hisn is geographically part of the Dibba region, boarded by Dibba Al Baya— a province of Oman, and Dibba Al Fujairah of the Emirate of Fujairah. Dibba Al Hisn, smallest among the Dibbas, is a pene-exclave of the Emirate of Sharjah. Dibba Al-Hisn has been an important site of maritime trade and settlement since the pre-Islamic era.

Opened on 2003 under the patronage of H.H. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi— Ruler of Sharjah, Dibba Al Hisn Public Library serves a population of 26,400 in Dibba Al Hisn only and more in surrounding regions.

Wadi Al Helo Public Library

Not long ago considered one of the harshest geographical are of the Emirate of Sharjah, The Sweet Valley dubbed as Wadi Al Helow became one of most beautiful villages due to the tremendous efforts of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi— ruler of Sharjah.

Opened on 2008 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi— Ruler of Sharjah. Wadi Al Helow Public Library lay between Kalba and Hatta— an exclave of the Emirate of Dubai, and serves a population of 2,000 in Wadi Al Helow only and more in surrounding regions.

Al Dhaid Public Library

Located on the desert plain to the east of the Emirate of Sharjah, the oasis of Al Dhaid stands with its extensive palm date palm plantations alongside century-old irrigation channels.

Opened on 2010 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi— Ruler of Sharjah. Beyond the sand dunes, Al Dhaid Public Library serves a population of 20,165 in Al Dhaid alone and more in surrounding regions.
