Al Dhaid Public Library affiliated to Sharjah Book Authority organised on Sunday a poetry event in coinciding with the “ World Poetry Day”, which falls on 21 of March every year.

 

The poetry event hosted Emirati poets Butti Al Mazloum Al Suwaidi and Abdullah Salem Al Shamsi who presented several passionate and patriotic poems.

 

The poets stated during the event which was presented by Hamid Mohammadi, from Al Wusta Channel from Dhaid, that holding these events keep Emirati and Nabati poetry alive in the minds of its fans and lovers. The poets appreciated the efforts of the Sharjah Book Authority represented by Al Dhaid Public Library, for the great interest in highlighting the importance of poetry and introducing its symbols.
