Sharjah Public Libraries (SPL), part of Sharjah Book Authority, organised, on Saturday, a virtual remote session under the title "The Basics of Writing Short Films".

The session hosted the Jordanian trainer and scriptwriter Fadi Haddad, to talk about the importance of short films and their role in boosting the film industry. The session also touched on the writer's mission and how to write believable movie characters.

The session, which was moderated by Zina Khaled Najm, received audiences who are interested in film making, filmmakers and films in general from various countries of the Gulf and the Arab region.

In addition, Sharjah Public Libraries opened the door to the public to attend through their own accounts on social networking sites.
